Technology

Inkjet Drop on Demand (DOD) for industrial printing

Inkjet DOD (Drop on Demand) technology prints by depositing drops of ink in a controlled fashion. Thanks to advances in control electronics, printheads and UV-curable inks, it now solves applications that were deemed impossible until recently.

C

Easy to integrate

Unlike conventional printing, inkjet is incorporated directly into production lines: varied materials, flexible packaging, last-minute personalisation and just-in-time production. The result: dramatically reduced stocks and immobilised goods.

M

No contact, no tooling

Digital printing requires no intermediate tooling, no printing plates and no contact between substrate and printhead. A decisive advantage over traditional techniques for product personalisation and short runs at high speed.

Y

Quality on any substrate

Industrial inkjet prints on plastic, metal, glass, wood, cardboard or leather. Pre-treatments improve substrate adhesion and wettability; post-treatments sharpen the definition of the final image.

It also dramatically shortens the time between design and production run.

  • ERP/MES integration: SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Production data available via OPC UA
  • Compliant with the FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11 protocols
  • Optional artificial vision: pattern, OCR, inspection and rejection
